Morning Street Sweepers

One quirk that my dogs have, and I do not think there are many dogs who don't have this quirk if left to their devices, is to inhale anything and everything that remotely resembles food.

On our morning walks downtown, there is much to be devoured: a scattering of McDonald's fries, a chunk of a hamburger bun, chicken wing bones...and most disgustingly, even the odd vomit puddle. The latter might receive a couple of licks before I realize what is happening and drag the dogs away, scolding them.

I guess this comes from a dog's inner wolf...not sure where the next meal will come from and looking to survive on whatever he can scavenge.

I just don't understand how my dogs think this is necessary? When they get 2 square meals a day??
